EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Arlyn’s practice emphasizes estate planning, trust preparation and administration, planning for incapacity, probating estates, elder law, business transactions, including the purchase and sale of businesses, and succession planning.
Arlyn was awarded the State Bar of Michigan's Institute of Continuing Legal Education Probate and Estate Planning Certificate Program.
Arlyn attained a Bachelor of Arts from Calvin College in 1964 and a Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University Law School in 1967. Arlyn has been a practicing attorney in the State of Michigan since 1968.
AFFILIATIONS
Arlyn is a founding member of Wealth Counsel LLC, and an active member of the Greater Lansing Estate Planning Council, the Mid-Michigan Chapter Financial Planning Association, and the Mid-Michigan Planned Giving Council.
PERSONAL
Arlyn and his wife Eunice have two children and five grandchildren. Arlyn loves to golf, attend MSU sporting events, and spend time with his family at his cottage in South Haven, Michigan.
PUBLICATIONS
Estate Planning Strategies: Collective Wisdom, Proven Techniques (Copyright 2009)
Arlyn authored Chapter 18, entitled Trust Terminology and Types of Trusts, for this book published by WealthCounsel. This book is meant to educate the public about the importance of estate planning and to clear up common misconceptions about estate planning.
